Introduction

Most major organisations in Australia, the U.S., Europe and Asia are in the grip of continuous change and transformation as they perpetually attempt to adapt to the most complex working environment in history. For some people this rapidly changing "new-world" is challenging and stimulating; to many it is extremely demanding. Performance in such a demanding environment is often achieved at the cost of:
  • impaired work-life balance &/or
  • increased stress and its impact on our well being.
Numerous scientific studies have shown that the pressure to perform in this changing world directly impacts the internal physiological processes of individuals. This impact upon the internal processes can often undermine performance, reduce perceptual clarity and cause a loss of innovation at just the time when these abilities are most needed.
Fortunately, in the last five years, leading edge research by neuroscientists, cardiologists and system theorists has identified the internal conditions that are required to flourish in the midst of change and therefore succeed in complex and competitive markets.
Our workshop series is based upon this cutting edge research. They teach a number of techniques that allow people to consciously alter the quality of the internal signals sent to the brain. Changing these internal signals allows individuals to maximize intellectual ability through a process called cortical facilitation. Cortical facilitation helps individuals to react faster, make better decisions, seize opportunities and be more perceptive and creative.

These programs go beyond the theory of performance management and actually give individuals the ability to establish new behaviours, which can be sustained in the long-term. One of the unique points about the programs is that their impact can be measured and improvements have been sustained at 12 months. Evidence gathered from training over 30,000 individuals worldwide, in organisations such as The Australian Taxation Office, Australian Armed Forces, Shell, BP, Unilever, Sears, and HSBC has demonstrated that the programs benefit both the performance and health of employees and reduce home work conflict.
" I still get the benefits from using what I learned and feel it
straightaway when I use it. I use Intuitive Listening too. It is so
easy to do. I can switch off and concentrate on me. I can refocus,
realize it isn’t as bad as it seems, and then get on with it. "

Benefits
At times we have international speakers available from other HM offices or from the HM Institute to provide the latest information.
These techniques are specifically designed to:
  • Reintroduce stamina, vitality and resilience at a fundamental level by:
    • increasing hormonal balance
    • enhancing immunity
    • improving autonomic function
  • Increase perceptual clarity and creativity
  • Increase the ability to influence others through personal coherence.
Each program accommodates up to 20 individuals and teaches specific techniques through highly experiential learning. By the end of the one-day program for example, at least 85% of attendees will be able to use the tools successfully and see for themselves, using computer aided equipment - the emWave®, how their own physiology improves while using the techniques.
The ½ day Transforming Stress program explores the basic science underlying the HeartMath process, teaches two techniques for transforming stress, develops an understanding of the physiological barriers to high performance and allows you to experience the unique computer technology that shows your shift from stress to coherence.
The one-day Power to Change Performance program, (the flagship program) extends the ½ day adding additional powerful techniques for transforming your response to stress and applying this to specific performance improvement strategies.
Following the Power to Change Performance program a follow up day - The Power to Change Organisations - is recommended. This program reinforces the techniques, and takes the technology into the areas of decision-making, leadership and creativity. This consolidates the initial training and helps create a self-sustaining flexible and successful culture. Thereafter a curriculum of additional solutions is available depending on need.
" I have a major project at the moment and my reaction
to it is different to normal with these tools. I listen so
much more. and I don't get led off the track any more. I
am thinking clearer, and not getting flustered. Now I
find I have taken in much more of what people have said
because I have listened instead of jumping in."
