HeartMath Australasia is the Licensee company for Australia and New Zealand of the HeartMath LLC organisation headquartered in North America.

The company in Australia and New Zealand is independently owned and is a member of the international group of HeartMath Licensees. The HeartMath global network includes licensee companies in UK, Sweden, Netherlands, France, Korea, Australia/NZ and the global headquarters in USA.

Since 2001, the HeartMath Australasia organisation have provided a wide range of HeartMath programs and services to organisations and individuals across the region including to families, the private sector, government, education and health sectors. We have proven the benefits, efficacy and popularity of the HeartMath system and products to people and organisations in this region, and have gained a significant number of clients.

Below is a brief outline of key people behind the founding and operating today of the originating HeartMath research and consulting organisation (in 1991) situated south of Silicon Valley, California.

Doc Lew Childre, Founder, Chairman HM LLC
Doc Lew Childre is the founder of HeartMath and a global authority on optimising human performance and personal effectiveness.

In 1991 Doc founded the non-profit Institute of HeartMath (IHM) to research the effects of mental and emotional stress on the heart, brain and nervous system. He assembled a talented team of scientists, educators and business people who, with passion and commitment, dedicated themselves to practicing and refining new skills to improve health, learning, performance and well-being. IHM's clinical research, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals, as well as case studies with Fortune 500 companies, governmental and police organisations, hospitals, clinics and schools using the HeartMath® techniques and tools, resulted in the highly acclaimed HeartMath System.

HeartMath is now three organisations with highly complementary missions: The Institute of HeartMath (IHM) is a nonprofit research and education organisation which conducts leading-edge research and supports educational initiatives to enhance academic and emotional learning. HeartMath, LLC (founded in 1997) provides a range of powerful programs, products and services for business, government, health care and individuals on a global scale. For eight years, Bruce served as Vice President for a biotech company, where his broad-based senior level experience included marketing, training, distribution, project planning, logistics and implementation. Bruce is co-author of From Chaos to Coherence: The Power to Change Performance (pub. 1999) with Doc Childre, along with a multimedia interactive CD-ROM based on the book.

Bruce is on the faculty of the Stanford Executive Program, and has lectured at the Stanford Sloan Program and the Stanford Executive Briefings series, University of California at Berkeley Haas Business School, the Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, and the Nanyang Polytechnic University School of Business Management in Singapore. He has been a featured speaker to business audiences such as the International Society for Performance Improvement, American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Young President's organisation (YPO), The Executive Committee (TEC), Systems Thinking in Action Conference, and several conferences on Emotional Intelligence.

Howard is co-author with Doc Childre of The HeartMath Solution, published in 2000 by Harper San Francisco. He also developed Nightingale-Conant's tape series, "The HeartMath Method."

Howard is a dynamic speaker, and has delivered hundreds of workshops and keynote addresses to audiences ranging from corporations, to the armed forces, to educators, families, and human service providers. As a key spokesperson for HeartMath, he has conducted hundreds of media interviews. His appearances include CNN Headline News, U.P.I. Radio network, WNBC-TV-New York, WGN-TV-Chicago, Discovery Channel-Beyond 2000, CBN/Canada, New Women, Muscle and Fitness, San Francisco Chronicle, Billboard, and the Boston Globe.

Ms. Jacob graduated with honors in Mathematics and French at Louisiana State University. She has eleven years of institutional teaching experience, including Louisiana State University and Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi.

In 1980 she moved to California, where she became a partner in Planetary Publications, currently the publishing division of HMLLC. She began extensive training in accounting, computer programming, and data processing management and has served as Chief Financial Officer for Planetary Publications since 1987. In 1991, when Doc Childre founded the Institute of HeartMath, Chris served as its controller. She continued in this role until 1997 when HeartMath LLC was established as a separate entity and she became its CFO.

Chris has also delivered HeartMath programs throughout the United States and Canada on conflict resolution, empowerment and stress management for businesses and schools.

QI's flagship computer-based product, emWave®, measures users' autonomic nervous system state (emotional balance) and provides precise, immediate feedback to the user on that state. Users are then able to understand and improve their autonomic responses through QI's emotional management methodology called the HeartMath System®, which trains adults and children to control their emotional state and reduce stress, thereby improving health and performance. The System is based on ten years of research by the Institute of HeartMath (IHM) and HeartMath LLC. Dr. Rozman was a founding director of the Institute of HeartMath and continues to serve on the Institute's Scientific Advisory Board and on the governing board of HeartMath LLC. She has authored numerous scientific papers and is co-author with Doc Childre of the books Overcoming Emotional Chaos (2002, Jodere), and Transforming Anger (2003, Harbinger).

Dr. Rozman is a key spokesperson for the HeartMath system, giving media interviews and keynote addresses on heart intelligence and intui-technologies for executives, scientists and health professionals throughout the world.
